Why should I use a Travel Advisor instead of booking myself?
Working with a travel advisor means you don’t just get a trip, you get a trip designed around you. I bring insider connections, trusted partners, and personalized recommendations that go beyond what you’ll find online. You’ll also enjoy extras like added perks, tailored itineraries, and the peace of mind that comes from having a professional handle the details.
What are your service offerings?
I offer different levels of planning support, from light research to fully customized itineraries. New clients start with either a quick consultation call or an intake questionnaire so I can get to know your travel style and recommend the right package for you.
Do you charge planning fees?
Yes. My fees reflect the time, care, and expertise that go into crafting your trip. Just like hiring a designer or consultant, these fees cover the research, vetting, and personalization that ensure your vacation feels effortless. During your consultation, I’ll explain the fee structure and recommend the service level that fits your needs.
How do we communicate important details with each other?
Most communication happens over email, where I’ll send quotes, updates, and requests for approval before booking. For Research or Custom Itinerary services, I also share editable Google Docs, Sheets, and sometimes Maps to keep everything organized in one place. These services also include a consultation and a follow-up video chat for extra clarity and support.
How am I supported when I’m in another country or time zone?
Because I’m a one-person team, I don’t offer 24/7 concierge service. However, I set you up for success before you go. I recommend, and can provide quotes for, travel insurance through Faye (a trusted partner of Fora), which offers protection and support if anything unexpected comes up during your trip.
Do you support airline bookings?
I don’t book flights directly, since airline pricing changes rapidly and they don’t work well with travel advisor systems. However, I’m happy to give recommendations, tips, and guidance based on the service package you select.
Can you book villas or condo rentals for us?
Yes, I can book vacation homes, condos, and villa rentals through my trusted supplier network. The only exception is Airbnb, which I cannot book on your behalf.
